Hi Christina - a very nice tribute to your grandfathers! I grew in in the military, my dad was a career Air Force officer, and my grandfather served in the military, too, and fought in WWII.
I have been to the WWII Memorial in DC. I was fortunate enough to have been there the day before they did the opening dedication services, so I got to see it fresh at its completion. There were so many former military there the day I was there. I went with a friend of mine who had served in the military and another friend who's dad had served in the military as well. It was quite touching, and very powerful to take in all that this Memorial signifies. I did a post that included some info on it last year about this time. A beautiful Memorial for sure!
